Default Rear diff cover on 2010 Rubi

I've had my jeep almost 2 months and have noticed that the rear diff cover has lost almost all of whatever coating it had on it and is now covered in rust. Is this to be expected?

Should I take it back to the dealer and have them do something about it or will they say it's normal wear and tear? 2 months 4k miles

Normal, spray it with some duplicolor if it bothers you.

Mine looked bad after only about 6 months. If it bothers you I would say it is a great excuse to upgrade

Normal. On my 10 Rubi I light sanded and then sprayed it with Rustoleum semi-gloss black. Matches perfect. Haven't had to touch it since.

Ha, I took my 2010 in cause it was flaking badly and leaking a little fluid too. They made a warranty claim, repainted the cover, and installed my diff skid while they were at it...
