Default Rear locker flashing when in 2wd?

alright guys dont kill me on the search thing, i tried looking it up, but i just spend 5 hrs trying to get my buddies rolled xj out of the woods, with a steering box. jk did fine pulled him like a champ, i switched my lockers off and got the normal flash when in 4 low, switched to 2 hi for the trip home, the locker didn't stop flasing the whole way (roughly 10 miles). i noted the rear end was getting a lil more grip than it usualy does, so i'm ASSUMING it is still locked, i'm going to put it on stands in the morning to see forsure. i was hoping for a lil insight towards fixing this problem. i just can't sleep right knowing my jeep just isn't right

If you push the locker button on dash it should go off. It's flashing till it gets locked but it won't in 2wd so it keeps flashing.

I'm not trying to be rude or anything but, there is a top and bottom for the locker switch. push the top half with the jeep running, in 2wd, and in park. look at dash and see if anything changed. Now push it again. look at dash. repeat the same thing on the lower half of the locker switch. One way or the other should eventually get the light to stop flashing.

If you know what your doing you may need to get the pressure off the rear wheels. then try it. It happens sometimes. Seen david do it he has the same problem.

I did some digging...Not alot out there...
Start your jeep, put it in neutral, slide it to 4 low and engage front and rear lockers. Make sure both lights are solid(not flashing). Go fwd about 15' or so then back 15' or so. turn off front and rear lockers. lights will flash. Go fwd and back again and lights should go out. Put 'er in neutral and switch to 2wd and let me know if the light stays off.
Just thought of this. If the above doesn't work, disconnect battery, turn key on, pump brake pedal, turn headlight/light switches on/off You're trying to discharge electricity in the system and do a reset. The computer should recycle itself. Maybe that will get everything right again. We do the battery discharge when we upgrade intake or exhaust to let the factory computer relearn the new base settings instead of adjusting to the new mods.
Let us know if either works.

ok i tried everything above, light is still flashing. notice it is still grabbing a lot on concrete, so i jack up the rear till the tires are off, then spin them. one slips for an inch or so then the other tire catches. i could be wrong but i assumed when a axle is open the other wheel will spin the same way. do u guys have any more ideas? could debree be in the axle housing causing it not to unlock. i am fairly close to my mileage to where i was going to change my diff fulid, should i just go ahead and take the cover off and look in there??
