Default Rear main seal replacement

I've been watching oil leak out of my rear main seal for the past 3 years. Never more than a quart over 5k oil change cycles, but enough to coat the tranny and look like shit. Mostly squirts in 4hi when crawling. I believe the problem stems from west coast moon dust gumming up the seal.

'13 JK sport 2door manual transmission.

I'm finally ready to replace the seal. Aside from the technical bitchery around dropping the tranny, I'm wondering if anyone has figured out a way to proof it from happening again. If dust got in there once then it will again and I want this project done when it's done.

Any wisdom from the wizards out there would be much appreciated.
