I bought some of those spiral tacks at Ace Hardware today. ("upholstery twist pin")
I haven't installed them yet, but once I penetrate the rubber backing of the floor mats, they look like they'll work.

Default Snaps on Mats fixed it for me

The simple fix for me was to install a couple black stainless steel snaps on the leading edge of the mats. You can pick them up at any good hardware or marine store. Here are a couple pics if I can get them to post.
