Default Rear Seats Down Gap

Just ordered new 2016 Unlimited Sport (traded in 2002 Jeep Liberty). I would like suggestions on dealing with gap when the rear seats are folded down. I have an aging dog (lab/shep mix) who may get injured when riding in back with seats down.

Default Thanks ...

Great just what I was looking for ... I have done numerous google searches and came with nothing. I will share this with my Jeep dealer folks for they had no recommendations. Apparently they did not know their product (JEEP) as well as I thought.

Can't really expect the dealer to know aftermarket parts, though. OEM stuff? Absolutely! But to know each and every aftermarket solution out there? I've been a Jeep guy for a few years now and I didn't even know about that! But then I don't ever lay my rear seats down and I don't have dogs that ride in my Jeep.

Carry on!

What he said, I made one too and its much easier on my dog when hes in the back. Also the wife and I are able to sleep in the back when out camping

Or you can just cut a piece of 1/4" plywood to size and put some cheap carpet on it. I'm going on 3 years with mine and use it when camping and sleep in the back. In fact, I never put the rear seats up, so it stays in place year round.
