Default Rear Spider Gears Worn

Recently I serviced my diffs with new gear oil and saw that my spider gears in the rear are visibly worn (2014 JK Wrangler, Willys edition, 65K miles). I assume before they actually fail and grenade I should replace them? What I would like to know is what brand/company I should replace them with. The prices vary a lot, from Extreme Terrian's brand ( $120. all the way up to $400. for other brands. I will have a reputable shop install them for me. What say you? Thanks!

I had minor pieces missing on my spider gears so I replaced them myself. I found the correct part number and then ordered from the cheapest place online that I could find the Spicer gear set. If I recall correctly, it was $67.

65k miles? dadgum. Karl, how long did you get out of yours? Mark, out of curiosity, how do you use the jeep? Is that mainly just daily driving? That is up in Maine?

I think I did mine around 120k miles. I also went up and down in tire size a few times and was sure to tow a trailer in town and on the highway while running bigger tires. I don't fault the gears, I was abusing them.

Yeah, resharp001, I'm up in Northern Maine and use the Jeep mostly on the highway (90%). I bought the Jeep with 58K on it, so I don't know about it's past history.
