Ill have to check my production date, but mine is an 08 Rubi. I have 600miles now and two things were wrong. My turn signal would not reset after setting it for a left turn. And my clutch after the first time taking it out was "squeaking" they said it was the line rubbing on something??? But its gone either way. But when I bought it I knew it wasn't going to be like a Lexus so I was ready for the issues.

12/07 Build. The only thing I have had was a squeek in the clutch pedal. I got underneath and found that the hydralic clutch line was flexing from the pressure and rubbed slightly on the edge of the metal heat sheild when pressing down the pedal. I just put a slight bend in the heat sheild (it's really thin) and now that anoying squeek is all gone. No other problems. Even had the freedom tops off a few times and no leaks.

March 07 build date, bought in April 07.

No problems except the following:

windblown hair
sunburn face and arms
people asking for rides when it snowed
having to get out into the snow to hook up and pull out people's stuck cars
wife's "needing the Jeep"
no desire to work around the house on weekends
neck strain from checking out girls legs in cars
eye strain from looking out office window at my Jeep on sunny days
no desire to work in said office on sunny days

I anticipate more such problems
