I took off my front fender flares to paint them and now I am have a hell of a time getting them back on. I can get the first and last to clip in but the rest aren't happening. Is there some trick to getting the flares into the clips? Do I need to pull out the whole liner and then reattach both?

 

When I pulled mine off to trim them I replaced the plastic clips with some small black nuts and bolts. It was a lot easier to put back on, and seems to be much stronger than the plastic clips
