Relocating mirrors
Just got my relocation brackets for my 08 4-door and the 1st step requires removing torque bolts from bottom of mirrors----easier said than done, at this point my next option is to air ratchet them boogers off but I have reservations( worried I'll pull them heads clean off)---any suggestions???
I know this doesn't help your immediate situation, but I recently got the Makita cordless 18v LiIon kit for a wedding gift, it's $200 on amazon, and the cordless impact drill in the kit is seriously the best thing ever.
I've used it on so many things already and I just got it 2 weeks ago.

It would be the perfect thing for this situation.
In your immediate situation I might try some PB Blaster and knocking on it with a small hammer

So my step dad threw the air ratchet on it and got the torque bolts out - however removing mirrors from existing brackets is a whole nother story :(- looks like I'm buying new mirrors for the new brackets unless one of clever folk have some wisdom for me
They're in there pretty tight. Took a lot of wiggling and pulling but they eventually popped off. I like mine but get used to your passenger mirror being 100% useless with your doors on. Doors off you're alright but I'd hang on to your factory mounts if you need to put doors back on for the winter or something.
Anybody have experience with the temporary mirrors that mount in the door hinge brackets after the doors are removed as an option for side-view mirrors? It appears to be a reasonable solution to the mirror requirement.
