Default Remote start fail

Be got a 2009 JKUR. My remote start has always worked fine. This morning I left lowes and it started up just fine. I went down the road to cabelas and when I walked out I tried to remote start and it beeped once and didn't start. It does that every time now.
Disconnected my battery and retried -didn't work
I've checked all my doors and hood - nothing

Is the engine light on by any chance? It won't let you auto-start if it is. Well it'll go on for like 2 seconds then automatically shut off.

May also be a bad sensor that makes sure the vehicle is in "park" before allowing it to auto-start but I'm just thinking out loud at this point.

no engine light on but I do know what you're talking about. I have had that happen to.
