Default Remove hard top pieces?

Hey guys,

You know those little pieces in the trunk area under the side where the bolts from your hardtop screw into. Is there anyway to remove those?

Tried searching but no idea what you call them

Thanks

Not sure they are the same in your as my 2007 but yes they clip in and out. I found if you slide them front or back a bit they will pop out. they are not that easy. At time you feel like you are going to snap the plastic clips off.

Just pop/pry them out carefully. I think they're called "retaining clips"

I just leave mine in, whether topless or softtop on.

I usually do as well, but I'm building a trunk basically and have eye bolts that I would like to secure it with and they do not fit in the retainers.
