AMEN... anyone know why there is such a huge gap there anyway? My jeep continues to "eat" all sorts of things. It's a good thing my kids sit in the back cause I'm afraid it would eat one of them if they got too close.

Default Garage door seal to plug the dash gap.

I went to Home depot last Saturday and picked up a black foam/rubber garage door trim gasket for the bottom of the garage door. the one that is nailed to the bottom of the door to keep water out.

Folks on this furom suggested weather stripping to fill the gap in the dash, but I could not find stripping wide enough that was rubber like.

The garage door stripping is about 3 inches wide with a seam in the middle. I folded it in half and worked the two edges into the dash gap. The thickness and the fold put pressure on the gap and hold the stripping in place. I worked it so about 3/4 of an inch sticks up.

It's black, looks like it came from the factory, and cost $8. Best cheap mod ever IMHO.

No more lost stuff behind my dash again.
Cheers,
Duker

I know this is an old thread but I think this method is easier and better. I did mine for under $1.00.

Ha! These senarios suck so bad. Sory to laugh at your misfortune. I took one look at the dash and the only thing that sits up there and only for a moment is my big ass iPhone.
