2016 JKU Sport- Mojave Sand. I want to remove the three side decals and put an old school CJ/YJ/TJ 'Jeep' decal on instead...I'm wondering if I peel these off, will the 'shadow' of the old decals be noticeable?

 

Welcome to JKF.. I would consult with a local body shop before removing..IMO most likely you will notice a difference due to fade of all the area outside the decals. The good factor is the color Mojave Sand. The body shop might suggest products to use that would reduce the difference; it won't hurt to ask.
