dang well the bolt is kinda rusted on... the bolt for the exhaust... so I'm gonna get some PB blaster and try and get that bolt to budge, it won't go!!!!!!! then I'll worry about the other thing!

Oh and the clamp that connects the muffler to the pipe might be tack welded on. I mean was at least

You dont have to remove the clamp from the muffler section - all you need to do is break that bolt free and loosen the clamp. It's just tack welded so it stays in place on the pipe.

A trick I heard for those hangers - to use a 13-14mm or ~9/16" open ended wrench as a 'fork' to pry those hangers off with. I ended up using two on one of the hangers. They're really only needed to get the rubber isolator to pop over the 90* edge. From there, you should be able to slide them off pretty easy.

It's the clamp itself that is welded on... The weld is at the midpoint of the "C" shape of the clamp - if that makes any sense...

I just meant that you'll have to break the bolt free from the rust and corrosion that forms on it. All you'll probably need is to just back it off a couple of turns, and pry open the clamp a little. The rust and corrosion may still hold the clamp tight even after the bolt is loosened. A long flat blade screwdriver did the trick for me.

I just went through this stuff last night My exhaust had a LOT of corrosion on the clamp. I couldnt even recognize the hex shape of the bolt until I started to chip rust off. It was bad.. but broke free rather easy. (I've got about 112k miles on my JK, and live in the snowbelt)

Yup! I used WD-40, but I think they're about the same.
