Removing the 'Warning' Visor Decals
So in sitting in my jeep. Waiting to picks someone up. I come across this thread in the current section. And think hey. Other people are doing it. Why should I
Rip the stickers off. So I started to. And now I have not even a quarter off. My fingers hurt. And its a bitch to get off.
Shit! Lol. Thanks for the idea! Haha

I picked at mine wanting to remove it one day and was able to get a nice (1 1/2" x 1/2") strip off at once. After that I could not get any more off, seems the labels are not so much stuck or glued on as they are melted/fused onto the new ''rubberized" visor for the 2011's. Now my visor was looking bad so I put a strip of black gaffers tape over it but didn't like the look. So afte about a month running around like that I pulled the visor off and with a dull knife, a pair of tweezers and a cold MountainDew I sat down and started plucking the label off piece by tiny piece. After 4 days of this mess and sore fingers from squeezing tweezers, I finally got it off. To cover the tiny little specks of label that I could not get off I just hit it with a quick shot of flat black paint. The visor now has sort of strecth marks where it pulled with the label and a few tiny cuts, so might get some stickers to cover that. The passenger side I will not be doing that mess again so plan to go the sticker route for that one.
My advice is definitely go the label route for the 2011, my '09 had "regular" labels that just peeled right off, but the new ones are heat set. Guess the lawyers are proud of their labels and don't want them removed.

Yes, all you guys saying how you got yours off are not saying what year JK you have. The '11s do not come off. jeepnpr got it off, but look at the visor. And like I said before, I've never had much luck finding decals of sufficient size and shape to cover the stock decals. There are a lot of funny decals out there, but they are just the wrong size.
