What's your budget? How do you use your JK? You can always pickup a set of take offs Rubicon shocks for $100 or less.

Take a look at the Elka gas adjustable shocks. Very good on and off road.

Read through a few of the thousand different threads on the Rancho 9000xl.

Adjustable to whatever stiffness you want. They have a nice rebate going (think it's $106 visa gift card for a set of those shocks). After the gift card, it works out to like $64 per shock.

And then they also have a 90 day money back guarantee if you don't like them.

I haven't run them, so no personal experience, but it seems to be one of the better deals to be found on shocks.

Default ranchos rs 9000xl

Youl like them a lot . Mines stock they ride 100 % better than my rubicon shocks that came from factory
they have 9 adjustments a good set up is prob lower number like 2 up front and 4 in rear (well worth the investment) but give them a extra coating of clear coat mine are getting some surface rust after a winter , i need to get that taken care of . as mentioned rebate is good deal too , but it takes a while to get the visa card rebate in the mail but still not a bad deal for good shocks

Thx for the replies, the ranchos seem the way to go for now
I plan on a metal cloak lift and shocks in the future but not for a few years I think. The ranchos should get me buy until then
Thx

I was talking to another jk owner and he said the problem I'm having is the death wobble jk get
My confusion is that my rig is bare stock only aftermarket led lights
I was under the assumption the death wobble came from poorly designed or installed lifts?

I am sitting on teraflex leveling and using Monroe reflex monotubes. I love them, they stiffend the handling but still ride plush on and off road. Their valving is dialed for the JK. The best part is the lifetime warranty they come with, something happens, put an new one on, and return the old one for a refund.
