Default Replacement pivot hinge for soft top?

I have a 2012 Wrangler 2DR, with a soft top.
I removed the top and I accidentally broke the pivot hinge on one of the sides when folding the top up.
It is the pivot hinge that is used for folding the front section of the soft top back when it is on the Jeep.
When I took the top off and released 1 side (with the plastic slide handle) to fold the top up it cocked the other side and broke the hinge.

It seems to have happened pretty easily, especially when the top is off the car. I doubt if I am the only one who has done this (I hope), so I hope someone has info on what it takes to replace it.
I notice there is a screw on the back section of the pipvot hinge to dissemble it (I assume), but I don't see any way to take it off from the front section (where the plastic sliding handle is).
Is this pivot hinge a single replacement part, does anyone know the part number and if only the hinge is replaceable?

Thanks...

It is the "pivot hinge" (kind of like a knuckle) that the plastic slide handle releases. When you pull back on the plastic slide handle it release this "pivot hinge", which allow the front part of the soft top to fold back.
This slide handle is on both sides and is used when you want to fold the front part of the soft top back when it s on the Jeep.

You might want to stop by a junkyard or those places that sell salvaged parts. They might have a soft top with a ripped fabric or damaged somewhere else and sell it cheap or even give away to you.

Part Description: "Link-Pivot, Sunrider Top"
Part Number: 5166017AB
List Price: $35.95

Wow.......There isn't a junk yard in SoCal with a Wrangler.....and what a challenge to get a simple part. You would think that all the places you can find the rear knuckles in billet, quick-release pins, plain but nothing on the pivot hinge (it would look nice in Billet).

The search starts...
Moss Bros in Riverside, CA.
I went in and it took awhile to find the part number and it was questionable as to what exact parts were needed (because how the drawing was done).
Price for suspected part: $35.95 (jeeeezz, it is just a pivot hinge and plastic and metal at that)
.....They did not have in stock......but
He checked the computer and found Ontario, CA had (1) but THE COMPUTER SAID it was on hold for someone else and not available....crap....
He also said I could order through them but they did not have a return policy if I order it, I own it. He very politely said I should order it through Ontario, CA because if it was wrong I could return it.

Just to make sure, For next couple of days...I called about 10 junk yards in SoCal, but no 2007-2012 Jeep Wranglers at all.

SO I then called Temecula Dodge and the guy there said they did not have the part and also could not verify if it was exactly what I needed BUT he also said even though THE COMPUTER SAID that Ontario, CA had one but it was listed for someone else, I could call them and see what it looked like.....Good Idea, another nice parts dealer.

I called Ontario, CA and the guy says he has it he goes and gets it and and describes it as what I want. First he says it on hold for someone else.
Then he sees on THE COMPUTER that it has been on hold since October, so he will gladly sell it to me......GREAT.

(.....Moral of story here: "Computer has no logic to think "out of the box".....)

I said I was on the way!
Went there an now had correct part in hand.
And after asking for "a good guy discount....plus, I also own an SRT8".
He gave me 20% off.
Final price $30.95.
Another great parts dept. to deal with.

...What a big deal..

Cool! Thanks for posting the part number. What an adventure!

You would think that the dealers would have more than one in stock or at least more dealers would have at least one.

I once had to change the engine's vibration damper (forgot the part's name). No one had that thing. Had to wait one week for the part to come across the country from another dealer.

Default soft top leaking!

picked up my 2 door 07 jk last summer and quickly tossed on the the soft top. found it leaked at the front the the 2 clips on the windshield and right by the front windows which is very refreshing. anyone else have this problem and have a fix without having to replace the whole top?

There is a replacement header for the early jk soft tops.
