Resolution
I opened the door and left it open. Then I turned the key on to the last stage before starting (as I always had). I pressed the pedal 3 times with moderate speed. Then pulled the key out of the ignition.
The only concept I changed was to leave the driver's door open while performing these tasks. If it wasn't hot in my garage, I may not have ever found out.
So, for anyone having trouble, try it with the door open.
(Glad I didn't end up at the dealer)

No, you're not an ass...at least not for the question It is a legit question...its just (in part) that dam manual could actually have a better index and/or group things better. Half the stuff on the jeep I discovered AFTER I had already READ the manual and then came here and saw some of the same questions: but on the oil....you'd *think* they'd make it clear you NEED to have the doors plugged in......or that you'da thought they designed it so when the doors are off/unplugged the re-set feature would still work.
