Rotors Help !!!!
Hello fellow jeepers, My 08 wrangler 2DR finally needs its first set of pads and rotors (approx 40XXX) I am coming from the VW world where everything is cross drilled and slotted. For the front ive decided on the teraflex big rotor kit. But for the rear I was planning to keep it stock. I was wondering what brands everyone is using for the rear, and if slotted is worth it. From what ive seen mopar rotors are approx 80 dollars a rotor, and crown automotive are approx 60 a rotor. All advice is appreciated, I am planning to order by the end of the weekend. Thanks everyone
I am a big fan of EBC brake rotors and pads. Green stuff pads. Had them on my dodge ram, land rover, racing quad and utility quad. I noticed an improvement on the dodge and land rover. I installed the dimpled and grooved as opposed to drilled and slotted. The larger surface area still allows more cooling and being the rotors aren't cut through, they are stronger. I Stayed away from slotted as I have heard from many about rotors cracking. Various brands on that issue, not just one brand.
I would go with EBC. I would also recommend dimpled and slotted rotors. They dimpled part of the rotor will help with gas created by the braking action. The slots dissipate heat. I use them with factory pads and it works great. No brake fade and better stopping power. I have done so on all my Jeeps for the last 10 years.

Ok so now that I've decided against drilled or slotted. How about what companies OEM rotors is everyone running in the rear. I'm leaning towards crown rotors. Any suggestions

no opinions there. I will be doing EBC all the way around when I need a new set.
