Default Rubi Soft top noise?!

I know I have a Jeep and there is gonna be noise, but I'm going crazy! There is a squeak and rattle coming from the rear of my 4 door Rubicon. It sounds like it is the frame of the soft top on the passengers side. At first I thought it was the spare tire moving around, but no luck. It sounds like there is a 200 lb. man on the top of my Jeep that bounces up and down every time I hit a pebble in the road. I've put a bit of weather stripping on the removable plastic door frame where the soft top bracket rests, as well as made sure all the bolts were tight, but again no luck. Please someone help me! Between the driver's door clunk and this...It's driving me nuts!

Well son, did ya pinpoint the sound? Rock that thing back and forth in the garage. Stand on the tire near where its comin from and haul that sucker back n forth.

Lol...how true!

But in all seriousness, you have to pin point the problem a little bit closer. Check to make sure everything is tight, both the fabric and the bolts on the frame.

Could it be something else?

Well, the soft top is up because it's been raining everyday. And I've tried to pinpoint the noise by shaking and pulling and pushing, but I'll give it another go Is anyone else noticing a lot of noise from this same area? Or is it just me? I don't know how much noise is normal.

I had a similar squeak in my 2Dr X that was driving me nuts... I pulled both headrests out of the rear seat and cleaned up the metal posts with fine sandpaper\steel wool. I then applied a very light coating of grease and reinstalled the headrests. Problem solved.

Check it out....
