Default Rubi tires ?

Are the OE Rubicon BFG's only available through Jeep or can they be purchased elsewhere? Someone told me these are a Jeep only production? Is this true? TIA.

I have no idea. If you are looking for new tires here is what I found.

I have the 07 unlimited 4 door. I needed new tires back and I could not get a quote for tires under 1,000 (even walmart...including the spare). I went online to craigslist and found tons of people telling tires. I found several people selling rubi tires. Lots of people buy rubi's and then get new tires and wheels right away. I found 6 new rubi tires mounted on stock wheels for 650 (for 5). I just pulled off my bald stock tires and bolted on the new ones.... I am very very happy with this purchase.... try it out if you want rubi tires.

I had read the factory rubi tires are of a different rubber compound. The ones you can pick up at tire store aren't necessarily of the same compound.

The tires on the Rubicons are made by BFG for Jeep. They only come in one size and one style.

You can buy them anywhere that sells BFG.

You can order them online at tirerack. However, I would avoid the dealer since they charge like an extra 40 bucks per tire. Why not just go for a different tire?

will the stock Rubi tires fit on the 17" rims that come with the 23s package? I noticed on jeep.com that the 23s (now called "2TS") package comes with 17" wheels and the rubicon comes with 17" x 7.5" does that 7.5" matter?

They are the same wheels. One is just a machined surface look and one is painted. They are both the same size and the tires are the same size too (255/75/R17).
