I switched from 17/58 to 18/59 and got about an inch of lift. When I swapped my stock shocks for Rubi's, the ride was night and day, on and offroad!

I bought some takeoff shock and springs, but ended up only installing the shocks. Since my '08 X 2-door has the rubi wheels and towing package from the factory, it already has the same springs and ride height as the 2-door Rubi. The JKU Rubi springs are stiffer, not taller. So the reason why you get an extra lift out of it is because they don't compress as much, which means your ride is going to suffer unless you put some heavy bumpers and skid plates on. I decided that I didn't want to put up with the stiffer ride for only about 1" lift. So I just put the Rubi shocks on. Oh man, what a difference that made, both on and off road! It's a little firmer over minor bumps, but far more forgiving over big ones. Also, there's less body roll with sudden maneuvering. Well worth the money I spent, even if I did leave the heavier springs on the shelf.

Look over the threads where people have upgraded to rubicon stuff.

Does the Rubi stuff improve a Sahara as well? Just curious. I have an 09 unlimited Sahara and want to lose the "rake". Not going to lift it, but am considering front spacers. Thoughts?

Any idea if upgrading Sport shocks/springs to Rubicon ones will potentially void the warranty on suspension parts? Wasn't sure since I guess they are OEM, just for a different model. Doesn't really matter, just interested.

I would check the tags (numbers) on your front springs first. I'm going to guess you have 17's up front. If you can get 18's or 19's (much better) your rake will be taken care of...

They are still considered stock parts, but each dealership has its own gripes on upgrades, even though it's up to Chrysler to honor warranty work. I swapped to a Rubi package and my dealership had no issues. I'm lucky in that aspect beacuse I have 2 very mod friendly dealerships to choose from in my area...
