Rubicon Wheels + BFG KM's on 2009 Sahara Unlimited = Just Fine
Threw on some Rubicon take offs this weekend to replace the OEM 2009 Bridgestone AT's and 18" rims. Gotta say, I like the BGF KM's better than the factory Bridgestones which I thought were just fine. My ride is a bit softer and it doesn't seem noticeably louder except with the windows open. Ran them for a day stock, and popped on the 1.5" Spydertrax spacers today. After a 40 minute drive around the Eastern half of Minneapolis, the added wheel spacing made the Unlimited feel more stable on the highway and seemed to get along well with the BFG KM's. Good stuff so I thought I would share. I went from 255/70R18 to 255/75R17 and from 18 x 7.5 to 17 x7.5. Finally I went from OEM 6.25" backspacing to Spydertrac spacers giving me 4.75" backspacing. I'll recheck the spacer touque next weekend to make sure everything is still tight.
