Default Rubicon X winch?

I picked up a 2014 Rubicon X a couple of weeks ago. I have the opportunity to get a warn xd9000i for $900. I understand that I have a winch ready bumper. Is that true? Will I be able to mount the winch without any additional stuff? Will I need mounting plates or something?

Thanks for any advice!

Warn likes to make $$$ so not many universal winch plates will work. Also check Morris 4x4, they have decent prices..

I thought the same thing when I picked up my 14 rubicon-X.... it is in fact not winch ready. you either have to buy the winch plate from mopar or go after market.

Do not go Rusty's winch plate, spend the extra $30 and get the maximus 3. I have the rustys and regret buying it, even tried returning it but they would not let me, would only give store credit. The install for the rustys wants you to mount and drill into your crash bar, not to safe in my opinion. Ontop of that the hardware they give you is crap, snapped one of there bolts and had to get 8 stitches in my finger, Grade 8 my ass. And to add further to the quality of the hardware most of the bolts are rusted already.

also with the rustys the air pump relocation bracket was useless, didn't fit where they wanted it, had to buy the or-fab bracket to relocate.

I just got the phone with a guy at Warn. I explained my plans. He stopped me almost immediately and told me not to buy the xd9000i. It will not fit in my bumper. He recommended the 9.5 cti. He said it was basically made to fit into the bumper on the Rubicon. He even gave me the MOPAR mounting plate part number (82213746 for those that are interested). I'm thankful I called him. I almost bought something I would have been disappointed in and/or forced to spend a bunch more money on a new bumper. Thank you everyone for helping me make this decision!
