Same thing on my '12 Rubi

I've heard a sudden pneumatic kinda sound coming from my JK12 passenger side dash even without the keys in the ignition. I think it's normal.

 

I have heard the pneumatic sound also.... That's not the sound

 

Run the heater for a little while, there may be a little air trapped in the cooling system.

 

lol yeah I've heard this one too. I figured it was some hidden camera zooming in. I've heard it up to a minute after turning the vehicle off and pulling out the key.

 

Yea it does sound like a camera zooming in. It's the stock head unit that does it, something to do with the cd player. I replaced it with an aftermarket hu and there are no more hidden camera worries!

 

Finally! So I'm not the only one! This has been driving me crazy!

A little internet research has turned up the following:

This is (as stated earlier) likely related to air in the cooling system. Either burp the system yourself or have it done at the dealership. If this doesn't fix the problem then it may, in fact, be a faulty heater coil which would need replaced.

Well the 13 is going in on Friday and I will let you know what I find out.

 

Any update on the 13? I heard the sound for the first time today on my 13.
