Rust on 2016?
Some might this I'm crazy for being worried about a little frame rust but I've only made 3 payments and 6k miles on this jeep. I thought JK's had galvanized frames? Do you think I should bring this up to the dealer? Thanks in advance,
I've made a habit of doing what Karl is saying.
My frame looks just fine. Every time I see a large spot I'll lightly wet sand it, let it dry, use rustoleum primer and paint.
Buy a few cans of the paint if you plan on keeping this jeep. I paint anything that chips or grinds off. 2007 jk here, all looks good, just some dents!
Gas tank skid, control arm mounts, and cross member are taco-esque but still flat black!

I'll be chasing it for sure, it's a constant battle with my CJ that I'm slowly loosing. I usually hit it with this and then paint over it. Works great. I just thought this JK frames were galvanized, and I'm not so sure now

I don't think any manufacture galvanizes the frames but they do the bodies. Like was stated, clean off the rust and paint it. You could b ring it back to the dealer and let them sell you an undercoating for a small fortune.
I use the VHT Suspension and Chassis epoxy paint in the purple label spray can from AutoZone/Advance Auto. They do a satin and a gloss, the satin black version is a perfect match to the factory frame and suspension paint. At 3 years old, I have no visible rust at all. After wheeling, I clean really well and drive it a day or two to let it dry up good, and then I go under and cover any gouges with this paint. Also, any of the welds/seams on the frame will start to rust, so as I see a hint of rust I hit them. I love this paint!
