I bought a pre-owned '08 that came from Connecticut. Didn't find much rust under the jeep (at least not anything to cause concern). I did however find rust in the interior. All the bolts for the seats have rust and the door hinges have bubbling paint (which leads me to believe there is rust under the paint). I haven't addressed either yet.. But will in a few days, with some raptor liner that I just bought.

A little newer than requested but I bought an 09 with 50k on it last summer, I live in NY so it sees plenty of salt. The shock hardware was a little rusty when I replaced the shocks last fall. I replaced the bolts on the control arms and trackbars with a grade 8 kit a few months ago and everything came apart easy with no rust. Like mentioned before all the bolts that hold the seats down are rusty though. There is also a little rust starting to bubble up at the sheet metal seams under the carpet. That will be fixed soon though with some chassis saver and monstaliner.

If you live anywhere with salt, never-seez is you best friend.

Door hinges have bubbled because they are aluminum hinges against stell doors on 08's
blast them and cover with bedliner

I have 90k and 6 New England winters on an '07. Surface rust here and there on the frame but nothing serious.

The tub seams underneath are starting to show some rust. I'm going to spend a weekend with a gallon of chassis saver and hopefully go another 6 winters.

The only rust I've noticed is my door hinges. I can tell they are rusting under the paint. I haven't fixed them yet. I under coated my Jeep two years ago and haven't had any problems.
