Default The saddest thing...

The saddest thing (today at least) is seeing a little black jeep, still wearing cardboard plates, hoisted up onto the bed of a towtruck.

544 miles, and the transmission no longer functions.

mine.

dealer says the transmission cooler hoses were not installed correctly at the factory.

I don't have loaner coverage, but the dealer gets points for covering my rental for today anyway.

We almost need a "what would I do without my JK thread" - reading your post makes me cringe. Sorry to hear about that. Hope you get it back soon!

I had the same problem - but I beat you. 46 miles for me. Fluid sprayed everywhere and the transmission wouldn't do a thing.

On another note, once they fixed the hose and added the fluid back everything has been A-OK as far as I can tell....

That totally sucks !! Loaner coverage is a must !! Anyone who is not sure if they have it should check with there ins.co. Don't wait till something goes wrong and then find out you don't have it !! ( like I did !! )

Seems to me that the factory should provide a rental via the dealer for issues like this. I know the Ford dealerships I've taken our Exploder to have provided this service if the repairs required overnight service.
