scratches on dash
The only problem I've had is a couple of little marks made from tossing the seat belt off and it hitting the door panel.. I've stopped doing that. No other scratches. Maybe just purchase a new set of pieces that you've scratched, replace them, then be careful.
Do a search, in the beginning there were a bunch of people here having a meltdown about the plastic scratching easily. They were talking about class action suits etc. Maybe check out those threads for some ideas about how to minimize the scratches...

x2 - everyone hates the plastic material - most would agree it scratches like butter. One has to assume the reason it scratches so easily is that Chrysler has top engineers who roam the earth looking for the cheapest plastic material known to man, instead of the most durable or rugged. I think my 1978 Toyota Corolla had tougher material - you would think the world of plastics would have advanced in 30 years. Or, maybe - just maybe - quality wasn't the highest priority...
I love my Jeep - but it is disappointing... so we all feel your pain... I don't put coins or other stuff in that little place in front of the shifter (because they slide around and leave little trails in the plastic), I tell my kids not to toss things on the dash or see if it scratches with a fingernail (because it does), I am careful not to let my GPS bang on the dash when mounted (because it leaves a mark), etc.
