Default Seat issues

On my 08 2dr X model my driver seat squeeks every time i get in or out..or lean back. or to touch the raido... or do anything. It annoys the heck out of me. Does anybody else have a squeeky seat?
My other seat issue is that the metal joint (the pivit point right where the bottom and back meet )on the seat is rusted. The Jeep stays in the garage and i've never spilt anything inside. Will they replace that under the warranty? It's just a huge annoyance because the cloth doesn't cover it at all so it's hard not to see.

my seat has started squeaking like that also....but I keep the stereo cranked up so it doesn't bother me all that bad. What does bother me though, is that the foam that is inside the seat bottom has come loose....on the edge of the seat on both the pass. and driver side where you get in and out of the jeep, the foam on that edge has ripped apart from the rest of the seat and every time I get in the Jeep and put my weight on it, that foam gets pushed down the side of the seat and then the seat looks like that edge is sagging really bad. I can put my hand up underneath the side of the seat and shove that foam back up where it goes, but it doesn't stay very long.

Nothing major, just one of the little things that end up being quite annoying.

Not entirely on topic, but what kind of foam is inside these seats anyway? It gets rock hard when it's frozen!

For your problem with the rust i really dont think they will warranty it. But what you can do witch is cheap and easy is just go to your parts store and get some bedliner duplicolor thats my choice. Then sand the rust down with scotchbrite pads and paint should work great for you.

Mine squeeks too! I found that if I pull the lever that raises the seat height. it stops. I'll have the dealer look at it when I take it in for the next oil change and tire rotation.

I HAVE THIS PROBLEM TOO!!!! it annoys me so much. I brought it to the dealer and after an entire day all they came up with was its the seat belt theres nothing we can do about it. Its definitely NOT the seat belt, i hate stealerships, it'll be going back again eventually, i might try to spray some wd40 under there or something in the meantime

Well moving the seat's tilt did fix most of the noise from the seat, but I still hate that the other seat's metal parts are rusting. It's frustrating.

The left lever that adjusts the tilt of the bottom section of the seat.

I had the squeek problem in my Tj. I took the seat out, and found that some of the seat springs were loose and or rusted. I wirebrushed the rusted springs and sprayed them with WD 40. That made the noise go away for me permanently.

Look for springs underneath the seat and any other metal parts that have the potential to squeek. Spray them with some lube. Dont use astraglide or kay y as they are waterbased. Use something that has silicone or oil base.
