Default seatbelt tensioner

can the tensioner be repaired? and is the single bolt on the bottom (where you can't see it) the only one holding it? I have an 011 4 dr jku

I don't think it can be repaired. My driver side belt no longer retracts on its own. Looks like replace is the only option. One bolt under tensioner, lap belt bolt on side of seat and shoulder belt bolt on pillar.
I haven't replaced yet. Not sure if I will.

I assume it is the retractor and not the pre-tensioner? I would not repair. Only replace. Some auto manufactures will replace for you even if out of warranty because it is a safety item. Not sure about Fiat. I mean Chrysler.

I think fiat makes only the patriot.
I opened everything up and rolled the belt back up and it seems to work, If I wasn't so terrified of going to a dealership I might ask how much to buy but I think I'll go without also.

If you sink your jeep you need to clean it out with some carb cleaner. If that doesn't work get one from a junk yard.
