Default Seized hub bearing

My hub is rusted in place. Any tricks to freeing it?

I'm sure you've got all three of the bolts that hold the hub assembly onto the knuckle out?

After that, soak in PB Blaster spraying it every hour or two for a few hours. Then use a gear puller, and take your time. Get the puller tight so that it has some pressure on the hub and spray PB Blaster again, let soak. Then take a mallet to the sides of the hub, not too hard, but not gentle either. Then tighten the gear puller again an repeat the process.

Some folks will just crank down on the gear puller (which will be pushing against your outer axle).. I'm not a fan of that. I used the above several times on several jeeps with success.

Just a tip if you have a friend or someone to help.

You can use an impact extension placed just right and have someone turn the steering wheel to pop it loose. Creates a press necessarily for free using the steering gear to push the unit bearing free.

Heat her up with a torch first and it'll break free.

There's more than one way to skin a cat. I've hammered the back end of a socket on those 3 bolts and that usually works but when that doesn't then I jump to the air hammer with a chisel tip. Grrr it between the hub and the knuckle and just go to town. It tears up the dust/ debris shield but it works.

I used the large brake bolt in back of the bearing and turned the wheel. Popped right out.
