Default "Sentry Key" LED and "Low tire pressure" LED come on while driving

While driving my Sentry Key LED and low tire pressure LED will come on at the same time and turn off at the same time. Normally while driving on the highway, but also around town sometimes.

Any idea what it could be? I tried leaving the battery disconnected for 15 minutes, but it still does it.

Lights 17 and 23 come on at the same time, stay on for 5 - 20 seconds, then turn off

edit: 2008 unlimited X, original key, no electrical mods other than KC lights and winch to the battery.

Read pg 15 in your manual. it states if light flashes while driving to have it checked @ dealer. Did you check tire pressure?

X2 on going to the dealer.

FYI- The TPMS and Sentry Systems share the same board. Most likely you have the common issue of the board going bad. If you have a OBD-II Scanner or able to get to a auto center like AutoZone, you can sometimes pull the code to confirm this. Sometimes the OBD-II logs this info in from the CAN BUSS System. It is worth a try. If you have a warranty , I would take it straight to the dealer as the last member mentioned above and just have them fix it. I keep seeing this issue come up a lot on various forums, The board will have to be replaced.

Let us know what the outcome is...

x3 on going to the dealer.

The ECU it telling you there is a problem "Take me to the Doctor!"

Now that said, this is the best way to confirm that its a real problem or it is a glitch in the ECU. Did you perform a hard reset on the JK's ecu yet? If not this is what you do.

If you have any OBD II code reader that can clear the codes on the ECU. Do this first. If you don't, go to Autozone and they will clear them for you for free. Right after you clear the codes remove both battery terminals from the battery and touch them together for about a minute. This will drain any residual voltage left in the system. Then reconnect the battery back up. Then see if the issue comes back. if it does go to the dealership right away. If it does not then it was just a ecu glitch that happens from time to time on the JK's.

I still have about 6,000 miles of warranty left. I have an appointment for Friday to get the fuel filler tube replaced for the overflow problem. I will have them check it out while I am there.

Thanks for the recommendations.

Default Checking In

Hello,
I know this thread is a bit old, but I was wondering how you resolved your sentry and tire pressure light issue. Just bought a wrangler, having the same problem.
Thanks in advance!!
