Default Service Intervals for Lifetime Drivetrain Warranty

I tried to search but there's just so much noise out there I could not find the answer.

What are the absolute mandatory factory service procedures you need to have done in order to keep the drivetrain warranty intact?

I heard it is only the 30k.

But looking at my diff fluid (which looks toast at 25k miles), I'm thinking I should have serviced the diff fluid at 15k?

Thanks!

All the standard intervals plus an inspection every five years.

The things you should do are outlined in the owner's manual, the Factory Warranty document, and the Lifetime Warranty document. If you don't have these, they are available on the Jeep.com web site. You can't get any more absolute than going to the source.

My dealer told me to do standard maintenance, and keep records, as outlined in the book and then a dealer has to do a 50K inspection. If that doesn't happen you loose the rest of the warranty. Took his word for it. Haven't verified.

He told you 50K, huh? Maybe he wants you to miss the 5 year inspection so you will lose the Lifetime Warranty. Pretty shrewd.

I write down mileage. I'm a ASE/BMW master tech and do my changes at the dealer. I should keep track of all my filter purchases, but sometimes it's through the dealership itself and such. I'm sure not paying someone to do it. We'll see 'if' anything happens I guess!

If by mandatory service you mean service actually done by a dealer, the only mandatory one is the 5-year inspection. The rest you can do yourself or at the mechanic of your choice. Dates mileage, and any receipts etc. will help your argument if you are denied warranty service due to "lack of maintenance".

I think the 5-year inspection has to be done within a month of each fifth anniversary of your in-service date. But double check that...
