Default Service Manual

Anybody ever buy one of the Service Manual CD-Roms from EBAY for $20? Are they any good. $20 seems a lot better than $300, but am worried there is a catch.

They are duplicates=forgeries (at least the ones that I have seen before)
I wouldn't do it. I got the CD from the dealer, more $$$ but way better than getting copyright charges filed against me.

I bought one of those online for a Camaro, got the disk and put it in the drive and it wouldn't read it....Disk looked like it was a blank....

Run a search on "Factory Service Manual". You will find a number of threads on the subject that discuss all your options, including the one from ebay.

The best option seems to be the official online retailer which charges ~$120. It is well worth that amount.

I got the factory manuals on ebay for about $60. So if you dont mind paper back, its not a bad option.

that's an owner's manual, not a service manual.

Yep, I found that out the hard way.

It only works correctly with Explorer.
