Absolutely worth it to go synthetic.

All engines are built to run with either.

Mobile 1 synthetic will make your JEEP engine last longer.

6,000 miles depending on your use.

What do you think? is it worth it to run the mobile 1? and since its fully synthetic how many miles should i be able to get out of it?
I use full synthetic castrol for 4x4 i figure its cheap money compared to a motor if it goes because i was cheap on the oil. and I still change mine between 3000 and 3500 miles

Ok sounds good. i was planning on running it about that. I really dont see a problem with it. i mean if you can get double the miles with less than double the price... why wouldnt you wanna go with a better oil?

Thumbs up Castrol full synthetic is only 60% Synthetic

OK Castrol full synthetic IS way better than all conventional oils........ but I have done a LOT of research and Castrol's full synthetic is really only 60% synthetic. Mobil 1 is a little bit more $ but well worth it !!!

Don't beleive me? ask ANY AMSOIL dealer.

If you want to run a synthetic, by all means do. I'm quite positive that it is better, but I am not so sure if it is cost effective if you plan on taking advantage of the lifetime powertrain warranty. If Chrysler wants to warranty the engine forever and wants to use standard dino oil, then I'll let them do that since a new engine in the future is on their dime, not mine.

And another side note about women and cars. My wife once picked up a half empty bottle of brake fluid I had knocking around in my Land Rover Defender, opened the cap, and took a big sip. I was so shocked that I didn't make a move to stop her because I thought she was joking. She learned her lesson though, but I know not to let her check the oil. . . .

edit: if you want to go with mobil 1, the "real" stuff has a gold cap and is noticeably more expensive than the other mobil 1 types that are not the real deal but are labeled to deceive you that they are.

I use redline oil - it's expensive at $10 a quart, but it's by far the best out there.
