Shift interlock solenoid making noises
Cheers everyone,
days are now colder over here and on my 2015 JKU Rubicon with the 2.8 litre Diesel I now noticed a new noise that I have not heard before.
It is the shift interlock solenoid (the one sitting at the gear stick / center console), once I depress the brake pedal I can hear it clicking.
It is still unlocking so everything is working just fine, but I am a bit worried about the noise?! It did not do that last year in the winter time.
So, is there anything I can do? Grease it with silicone grease or something? I already found out that it seems that it is not available as a single spare part, so I would need to replace the whole unit?!
Does anyone having a similar issue and if yes, what did you do?
Thanks for any help and many greetings from Germany!
