Default Shipping for a soft top?

Not sure where to post this, but here goes.

How do you ship a soft top? UPS Ground, FED EX? If you did, how much did it cost and what did it take to get it on the road. I'm looking for information to give to an online seller.

Thanks.

Check out UPS, FedEx Ground, and DHL. All three of their websites have time / cost calculators where you enter the weight and dimensions and they spit out a price and time. DHL can be cheaper for larger items. If the soft top is too large, you might have to ship freight LTL using a company such as Yellow Transportation.

I had one shipped from texas to michigan and it cost $265 via freight. It was too big for UPS for the way it was packaged.

I bought one and paid just over $ 100 for shipping. Use a bicycle box, the top and associated parts fit pretty well in there.

I sold my soft top on ebay. Used the local packaging store. For them to box and ship using UPS it was $194.00. Fed-Ex will not ship due to the size of the package. There was a $40.00 fee for packaging included in the $194.00 so figure $154.00 shipping statewide. Mine was shipped from KY to NJ.
