Cool Shock mount

It is me again with yet another problem. I just wheeled Chivo Falls here in Tucson, AZ and I started getting this terrible rattling from the front right suspension. i couldn't figure it out and then I saw that the nut that holds the shock to the mounting plate at the top was such that the shock was able to move about an inch and was slamming into the mounting plate. It sounds confusing but its pretty simple. I've got 1000 miles on the jeep today and its frustrating that stuff like this would happen. I ran into AZBullDog on the trail and tons of other jeepers. People seemed to think that it may have come stripped from the factory. There is no reason for my stock shock mounts to be that loose after 1000 miles. Anyone else have this problem?

However, the stock rubicon was doing stuff that built rigs wouldn't try. Surprised me yet again.

Something sounds strange there.
These things aren't put together by a bunch of guys in a backyard garage with their tools and torque wrenches laying all around them on the floor.
Critical components and especially suspension parts are gunned up with air and electric tools connected to data gathering systems (one is called 'device-net') so that problems like this can't be caused by someone asleep on the line.
Might want to take a look around that side of the vehicle to see if anything else may have been loosened off since it left the factory.
Might be someone started to do midnight parts shopping on the dealer's lot.

So I took it to the dealer today and the top shock mount bushing was missing so they replaced it. I hope this doesn't happen every 1000 miles....

As previously stated, major safety items are checked and recheched throughout the build process. I sincerely doubt this was a missed part. There might be more to this story but only the missing part will know.

The same thing happened to me. The top rubber bushing was missing on the drivers side.
