Yes thats normal. The control arm on the left side of the steering wheel that controls the headlights also controls the interior lights, you may have turned it by accident, I believe its the same switch that does the dimming of the dash glow.

It is tied into your dash backlight brightness setting. it is on the Turn signal/Headlight knob. It is a little switch that you turn. The manual will tell you exactlly what it is but you can find it real swift, just take a look at your turn signal lever, it is on that -Captain

Thanks...I'll check it out..next time it's dark and I'm jeepin'. I noticed the dim's were way too dim also........I've never saw a setup like this... This is my first new american vehicle purchase ever.... besides my harley....though my dad gifted me a new vega in 1972. Owner's manual? I did open it to figure out the sunrider top.

The rear cargo light on my 4 door is a switch itself. I was loading somthing into the back that must have accidentally clicked the light. For the next few days I could not figure out why the light wasn't going on. Then I pressed it and voila...light again.
