Simple solution to an annoying problem
I don't know about you, but I've never found a good way to manage the trailer hitch pigtail. No matter how I twisted, looped or tied the thing, it would always work itself loose. I even had one short out because it was draped over a bracket that eventually wore through the wire insualtion. The best solutions seem to be brackets built-in to the hitch or bumper, but these aren't usually available for flat 4-wire connectors.
I found a nifty, magnetic clip called a "Mag-Flat." It fastens around the wires and attaches anywher the magnet will stick. It stays put, but is easy to remove when needed. It's cheap and doesn't require any drilling. It's available from a bunch of places, including etrailer. It would be easy to DIY something similar, too.
I've found so many tips and tricks on this forum, I thought I'd give one back.
