Default Sitting on the side of the road

Pulled up to an intersection and the Jeep stalled and won't start. It'll crank and then sputter a bit then dies again. I managed to get it off to the side. Anyone got some ideas?

Try undoing the battery cable for a couple mins, then put back on.

Did that and while I was at it I pulled off the stage 2 and cranks and sounds like it's running on 2 or 3 cylinders then dies again.

As a matter of fact I did just 33 miles ago. I get gas at that station quite a bit but I might have got a bad tank full.

come to think of it, this happened to my dad in his Rubi. it turned out to be a bad battery.
I know lots of people are going to jump on here and say battery wont cause that which normaly you would be right but for some reason the JK acts funny with a low or bad battery.

I'm curious myself, the battery is pretty strong though, I think it might actually be the fuel pump because is starving for fuel hens the extreme rough idle. I'll find out in a day or two, in the mean time I'll se how my loaner PT Cruiser does after we get a foot of snow tonight.
