slipping tranny?

Just checked them all while it was cold and idel and they are normal, I also check yesterday while and and they were normal also. Can you check codes after they have gone away and the dash, or is it once its gone its gone?

So took the jeep in today to get it checked out and was told: the check engine code was that in 1st gear and in 4 low there was a mixed match gear ratio.... WTF does that mean, i was in a hurry this morning and didnt get code number will swing by after work to get that. Also they said I was 2q low on tranny fluid, I checked that and it was fine. I didn't have to pay for the added 2q so oh well, will keep an eye on that. Now as for the gear ratio stuff anybody know anything about that?

I drove a ford expedition up an incline with low tranny fluid. Same thing happened. The tranny fluid sloshes away from the impeller causing it to disengage.

What gear were you in when you checked your tranny fluid?

And if it was 2 quarts low, that might cause the problem. But the next question would be....where did that 2 quarts go?
