Sluggish Shifter
Just got my unlimited two weeks ago and it turned really really cold even colder than it normally is up here. I have noticed that my shift is now sluggish especially moving in and out of lower gears. I've never had this problem with a stick before. Has anyone else come across this problem especially when its really cold?
When its really cold i too have a bit of a harder time shifting between gears untill the jeep warms up a bit. first and second are always the hardest. if it goes away once the vehicle reaches operating temperature, or just warms up a bit, this seems pretty normal to me, my 92 sahara, 2000 sport and 07 unlimited rubi have all done this. hope this helps.
Thanks, that helps to know I'm not the only one running into this problem. I know the JKs were cold weather tested in Ontario Canada, where I live, but I guess nothing moves fast in -30 degree temps.
I have the same problem! but for me it's in 1st, 3rd & 5ft gear!!! And my 1st & 3rd can pop out it self some times!!! even when the JK temp's normal!!!! I'm going to the dealer next week for that!!! not normal!
same problem...transmission poping out...4 times at the dealer....they fix the problem by removing the rubber that protect transmission under the jeep....a i'm now waiting to get a new rubber who won't do that... (excuse my english...i'm from canada (quebec)...but i hope thaht will help you to fix your problrm)
