Default Small Leak how to adjust door?

I have a small leak only in really heavy Rain. it drips on the passenger side end of dask just right under the a pillar. the water droplets form on the bottom of the plastic cover on the a-pillar and drip on top of dash right underneath int he little space between the bottom of the A-Pillar and the Dash. I have read the Service Bulletins posted here and one mentions to adjust the door as referenced in the service manual. Could anyone with an '07-'08 service manula help me out with the sdjustment. the dealer wants to put in a kit for the tiop molding where the top meets the top of the windshield. I think is it is comming in the molding on the door by the a-pillar. If someone has the service manual could you please post the proceedure to adjust the passenger front door for door seal. Thanks

If you have the soft top, the door is maybe a little too far from the door frame.
To move the door frame closer to the door, you have to move the sport bar.
You can move the sport bars of about one half inch.
Bolts are located:
- under and over the sound bars
- on the windshield (3 each side)
Open the zippers (black material around the sound bars) and you will find them

If you don't find the bolts, in your Jeep's manual, look the section "How to get down the windshield". For that, you have to take off your sport bars. The book will show you where are the bolts.

The windshield can also have a bad position. You can move it about one half inch closer to the front doors.

Sorry for my english...

Dont adjust your door. More than likely the water is leaking in behind the windshield header seal dripping in behind the seals. The dealer should be able to correct this by resealing the edges of the header seal or replacing it all together. If this is indeed the leak source, and I suspect it is, then adjusting the doors and fiddling with the top will not fix it. Adjusting the the door could cause other problems to surface.

Default leaks

Does the metal bar in your JK hang up on the door surrounds? Mine does. I think that might be why I get that wind noise. I think that might be why some of ya'll are getting a leak there. Mine is not leaking but it is a PITA to latch on the passenger side. Maybe I ought check into trying to adjust that door surround there.

I've got the same problem with my hard top. Nothing major but it does drip slightly during heavy rains. Let me know what you do to correct the problem.

the body 1/2 of the upper door hinge is held to the ''A'' pillar(hinge pillar) by 3 13mm(1/2'') bolts that point forward. Loosen 2 of the 3, then loosen the 3rd until the hinge half can be tapped inward with the heel of your hand. You may have to close the door with the hinge loose and then push it in to get enough ''play'' to adjust it. Move it in 1/8'' and tighten one hinge bolt. Check the door for ''pop'', if it pops you have it in too far. If adjusting it in doesn't help you can put it right back where it was originally with no harm done. Of course I am referring to the full steel doors with rollup windows here....touch up your bolt heads and you are good to go... Oh yeah, remember to tighten the other 2 hinge bolts LOL....
