That would store a different code. It sounds like something is either fouling up his 02 sensors or there is an intermittent problem in the circuit because they keep on going to the same components (I've read his other post about this problem).

Issues like this usually is something simple that an overzealous tech with a nice toy (scanner) sometimes overlook. Not saying this is the case with his situation but it happens to the very best of us. A second opinion is always a welcome hand. I asked you to contact Chrysler not to hang the dealer but maybe get one of their engineers or top tech in the nation involved.

now when i say loose i guess it only turns one click to the left and its off. seems almost too easy. ive thought about replacing it just for shits and giggles to see what happens. your right nothing to lose

i have this suspicion that it is indeed the catalytic converter, and seeing as how my emissions warranty is almost up it seems like they are trying to stall so that they dont get stuck with the bill. O2 sensors dont go bad for no reason. especially not repeatedly. there has to be a root cause to this

I understand your rational and frustration with this. However, if they replace the cat under the emissions warranty they will be paid by Chrysler. Just more billable hours. What I also find interesting, is that did this start to happen after they replaced your fuel tank? If so, maybe they didn't hook up one of the lines properly. But, like was mentioned, they should have a code for the problem.

Is your motor burning oil, as this will eventually kill the O2 sensors & foul the cats?

I hate to say it, but welcome to the club....
I just try to upgrade anything that goes wrong, with something better than stock; so I don't have to ever darken their doorway again. I hate dealing with those idiots.
They never try and help you when they stand to make more money.

I had this happen with my Trailblazer as well. Cat clogged, causing my manifold to crack and jacked up the O2 sensor.

My suggestion would be to take it to a muffler shop and have them check it out, for some additional support. Once you know what the true issue is, you'll have more ammo for your dealership.
