Default Soft top???

Hey guys I just bought a 2014 willys edition 2 dr with hardtop only. I'm looking for a softop.
Will an 08 factory top with all hardware fit. Thanks.
Also I was thinking about the bestop nx top. I heard that it leaks. Any advise? Thanks.

I think you will find the factory top has more issues with leaks vs the TrekTop. I have both and find advantages and disadvantages with both tops.

As long as you get all the hardware, brackets and door surrounds with the '08 top it will bolt right up to your '14. The only thing you may need to do is remove the center footman loop from your windshield frame. I don't recall what year they changed it but it moved from being offset to being centered.

Ok great. Thanks for your help.
I'm probably just gonna go with the trektop nx. I want something brand new.

Yes, I have the Trektop NX and you can run it with just the rear window removed. When the weather is nice I typically pull all the windows off and just run with the top on to keep sun off my head. It is a really nice product and I think you will be happy with it.

It's nice to have a brand new top with all new hardware and surrounds....and warranty

Thanks for the input. I talked to one guy about it and he said it leaks a lot. Maybe he wasn't doing something right. Thanks again.

I can't say about the other guy but my personal experience has been that the TrekTop does a fantastic job. I have been running it for about 3-1/2 or 4 years now and have not had a single water leak.

Good luck with your choice!

I just bought a Trektop NX from Dave at Northridge and swapped out my hardtop for it yesterday. Today it rained over 2". Not a single leak anywhere. It does give you the soft top stream when you open the door, but not a big deal. Send Dave a private message, he gave me a great price. Take Bestop's instructions and throw them away, go on YouTube and watch their install video. Super easy install.

I'll throw out the Offroad Heros top. Long lead times, horrible pre-shipping customer service but best top out there (at least compared to what my local Jeep friends have). I've had for over a year without a leak including power car washes and severe thunderstorms. Looks like a streamlined Trek Top but more versatile and has no bows or moving metal parts. Sleek and efficient.
