For those of you who are putting on your soft tops soon, note that the two pins only need to be hand-tightened. If you crank them down too much you can separate the threaded metal shaft from the plastic wheel that you turn it with.

I know cuz I did it. Lucky for me the tech at the dealer gave me new ones for free when I had my header replaced. (nice guy! )

 

Yep, it's one of those things that I looked at and said...damn, i know i'm going to twist that thing off! Luckily I haven't yet, but it seems very easy to do
