Default soft top down around roll bars?

So I've only had my Jeep a few weeks and I've had the top down quite a bit lately (enjoying it while I can)

Anyway... Usually when I fold it down, the soft top edges (with the plastic pieces that you tuck in to the door frame tops) are positioned around the outside of the roll bars. For some reason, when I folded it down today one side ended up on the inside of the roll bars, so I went ahead and did the other side like that. It didn't seem to fold up quite as neatly, but it sat down much farther (more compact in the tub) than it normally does.

I don't have ocd or anything, so the bunched up look doesn't bother me much

Storing it like that won't hurt anything, will it?

How do you guys (and girls ) normally fold it down? Outside or inside the roll bars?

Inside. 'Course, there's a safari top on right now, so the soft top is way outside the roll bars (in the garage).

I tuck mine inside the roll bars. Your right it does not look pretty. It should not hurt the top in any way. Or at least mine has not been damaged by doing this.

The video showed it on the outside, I think (it wasn't real clear). Either way, it's nice to get feedback on what others are doing. Jeep-video-guy might not be doing it the best way

For the unlimited, the video shows it being folded in a "W" just like the pictures/directions in the manual on page 160-161.

I found the "W" way the best; that said the 4 door soft top is not very user friendly! TJ's were way easier. Plus - I kept losing the piviot screws for no reason!
