As for the bow that needs to lay flat just check the middle section bow ends are connected.. The middle section has what my kid calls Lego hands on the ends that clamp over the side bows..

Also make sure that the thick straps back above the sails are not twisted. One time I got it twisted and it made the header gap wider.

I have pretty much the same gap as well, all the other ones I saw are the same also. So I think that it is pretty much the norm. But at least there is no leak

Well, that makes me sound better that a lot of other people have the same gap, lol. Also appreciate the suggestion about the tape to stop leaks, once it gets warm here again I will be able to mess with the top again.
Also, what about wind noise. Once I hit around 30-35 mph. it sounds like I have both my windows cracked open, that's about how loud it is and it doesn't really get much louder then that even at 65
mph, maybe a little, but not like some people say where they have to scream at their passengers. To hear music comfortably with my stock infinity system on the sahara I would say the volume needs to be at about 18-20 depending on the speed. Does this sound normal? It is definitely louder then the hard top but not deafening or anything.

Oh and one last thing, which order do you release the top that you find makes it the easiest to untuck the fabric from the door surrounds. I just about busted my knuckles trying to get it untucked one time. I find that untucking it while still latched down is the easiest, but I may be way off.

I picked up my 07 Rubi in October. It had the original Plastic header panel and was getting a good bit of wind noise. I had leaks over both door handles. Went back to the dealer I bough tit from who got me a replacement metal header panel which fixed the wind noise but I still had water leaks over the handles. Yesterday I got wet while setting in traffic and there just happened to be a Jeep dealer next to me at the light. I pulled in got the header gasket and both door seals. Went to the house and changed the changed both door gaskets in the garage then set it back out in the rain. My leak was 100% gone. I have the header gasket I will be putting on new once I get everything to the new house and can dig out my rivet gun and rivets( not sure what box they are in). The new door gaskets a re a little different then the originals I had as mine had a smooth surface along the top of the door and the replacements have ribs which I suspect promote better sealing.

Alright guys,

I just wanted to update you and let you know what I have done. I went to a local dealer ship and picked up a steel header for around $150. I installed the header today, and man I am really surprised they actually used a plastic header to begin with. It is flimsy as hell and bends when you touch it with your finger. Anyways the steel header completely fills up the gap between the windshield. It also pulls it down tight so the soft top is well below the windshield. WIND NOISE COMPLETELY GONE!!! The only problem is that the new header is so damned tight it pulled about 3 places in the seam which I had to immediately silicone up. I mean its wayyyyy..... tighter then the old header. I thought the soft top was gonna split in two when I was latching it down. Yes, everything is installed correctly and soft top set up correclty. I think the new latches are a lot shorter.

Anyways if you want to fix the wind noise purchase the new steel header.

I have the new steel bar and I think that's when I got my gap.
